Photographed by Tom Murray, Location is USA, Massachusetts. https://www.inatu.../218433468 This fly looks like typical Coenosia tigrina, but it only has one median bristle on each hind tibia instead of the normal approximated pair. I don't see sockets for the missing setae. Genitalia looks the same, more or less, as C. tigrina as well. Is this variation known in C. tigrina? |
