I received these photos of a Tabanidae from an acquaintance. A June 17, 2024 sighting in central France, Indre (36). Unfortunately no better photo of the abdomen. Is it possible to identify it?

Good question. There are no Hybomitra with broad central callus.

Female Tabanus nemoralis it is.
