 Hello,
in the end of May I found this fly on dead wood at a forest edge in Germany, Saxony. Is the fly a Rainieria calceata and is it a male or female specimen?

 Hi Marion, I think Rainieria calceata is correct and I guess, it's a male.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
