Hi, unfortunately, this pretty little fly was not very patient, so I got only a few pictures of it. It has a distinct golden tinge on the upper part of the body and I think it might belong to the Dolichopodidae family. Is it possible to determine genus or species from the image? Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), leaf, 23.05.2024, app. 5 mm (maybe a little bit more or less) Greetings, Uli ukursawe attached the following image: [288.9Kb] Edited by ukursawe on 26-05-2024 10:48 |

Dolichopus ungulatus, the only common species with more than one preapical bristle on each hind femur. |

Hi John, thank you for the identification. Your eyes are pretty good, I had to enlarge the region to see what you mean. Greetings, Uli ukursawe attached the following image: [85.6Kb] |
