Wow! A Tephritid!
And from the tribe..., I believe Schistopterini. The smallest species knwon within the Tephritidae, and to my opinion teh most beautiful!
Unfrotunately they do not occur in the western Palearctic, I only know they are abundant in the Afrotropics, Oreintal, Oceanic and Austalian regions. They're hard to identify.

Despite the somewhat blurry image, a marvelous fly!

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
