Hi All ! I pictured this specimen in my garden in Belgium on 2023-04-30. I first ID it as Platycheirus albimanus, but as I was looking again on my Platycheirus, I saw pictures of this female leading to Platycheirus sticticus (Meigen, 1822) : bands on tergites and third segment yellow under... In the group Platycheirus albimanus - ambiguus - stricticus, female only P. stricticus has a 3rd antennal segment with orange under and this habitus. Some records of this species in Belgium but only males ... I could measure this specimen on pictures : 8,0mm But I didn't found a picture of this species ... As it's a very rare species, I would like comments and or ID confirmation. Thank you for reading this post, Didier More picture if needed ... Thank you again for reading and or commenting this post !!! Edited by Tetrao on 01-04-2024 11:03 |
