Hello, I think this is a Protocalliphora ? There is 3 species in France : Protocalliphora azurea, Protocalliphora falcozi and Protocalliphora rognesi. I don't have any information on how to differentiate the 3. Any ideas? Hello Jessica, female Protocalliphora is correct, but I think we can only exclude P. rognesi with it's parafacialia rugose and like the fronto-orbital plates brown dusted making it look monchromic. We can not exclude P. falcozi without seeing fore tibia's ventral side: it should have only 1 pv-bristle while P. azurea has 2. from: Olga Sivell (2021): Blow flies Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |
