Hello! Angie Opitz, a user of my forum, found this 6 mm fly yesterday in her house in Tyrol/Austria. Could it be a Tachinid? Maybe it has hatched from some Lepidoptera pupa residing at firewood. Yeap, Tachinidae Difficult to see from this angle, but it is Triathria setipennis. One of the few Tachinids in Dermaptera. It may complete it's lifecycle indoors. That's why this one is so early Theo |
