2023-05-13; Badem, RLP, Germany; photo of Image recently emerged from Pupa found in my garden. Is this Phaonia subventa; the photos I have seen have a dark blotch or line on the back of Phaonia subventa.

Phaonia subventa is correct - the male's abdomen has often - but not always - the black stripe.
