Part of this threat had been in main forum, but I did not manage to post several pictures in one thread. So I try again, this time in the Ayrphidae forum.

14-Sep-2023 in Jacksonville, Florida (US), a hoverfly , but which one? I remember it rather around 10mm. Thank you so much, Jörg

Hi,

Ocyptamus for genus. Ocyptamus fuscipennis maybe? If you have a look at iNaturalist you can probably find confirmation.
