Hi,

yesterday I took a few pictures of a medium-sized black fly on a leaf. My wild guess would be Fanniidae, maybe Fannia sp.. Can that be confirmed/excluded from the attached images?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Garden in Munich (-West), 23.10.2023, app. 6-8 mm

Hi Uli, I think it's not a Fannia and I guess it could be a male Hebecnema (Muscidae).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
