ID needed for an aphid species

These aphids were being tended by wood ants (Formica lugubris) on an aspen tree in Glen Moriston in Scotland. The grid ref. is NH 328 147, and the photo was taken on 13th September. i have a particular interest in insects associated with aspen trees, so I'm very keen to get an ID for this aphid.

I have other photos available, if key ID features are not visible in this one - please contact me if you'd like to see any others. I can also provide a hi res image of this photo, so that it be viewed at a much large size.
