Hello everyone,

is it possible to assign this chironomid to a genus? I took the picture on August 31, 2023 in southwest Germany.

Tribe Chironomini, probably close to Chironomus.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
