Hello Forum, the attached picture shows a fly I photographed on May 22nd 2007 in an (arificial) alder marshland in Hagen (Germany). I don't know what species it is. I think, it is a species of the syrphidae - family?! The site is about 175 meters above see level. The plant in the background is Anthriscus sylvestris. Thanks to all who will help me (us). For a better understanding: Together with another teacher of biology (almost retired) I try to list all organisms which are together with the plants of an alder marshland. The complexity of the insects - to date - is our biggest problem! Josef Josef Buecker attached the following image: [48.67Kb] |
