Hi together,

I found this hoverfly on June 24th in a meadow in Germany, Southern Black Forest. I estimate the size at 12 to 13 mm. Is that Chrysotoxum festivum?

Thanks, Siggi

Hi Siggi, I think C. festivum is correct: antennal segment 3 < 1+2, femora 1 and 2 yellow, no black areas.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner
