Hi all,

I pictured this specimen in my garden on 2023-04-26.
I measured this specimen on picture : L = 3,00 with ovipositeur, 2,7 without (if a female).
I think it's a female.

I already pictured an other specimen that seems the same and which was identified as Phytomyza gymnostoma Loew, 1858 on the forum : https://diptera.i..._id=105680 .
I think it's the same but ...
Yellow on the scutellum could make a difference !

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
