Hi All As before. Small mixed copse, river. Although dark bodied there is enoiugh orange/yellow, evidently an Eristalis of some sort (wing loop etc). I think I can see a stripe down the middle of the face = tenax or pertinax and I recall it being a fair size. Pertinax has the front and mid-tarsi yellow/orange, my one is black. So that should leave me with tenax............. I don't see any vertical row of hairs on the eyes. Could someone take a look and help with this?
