Hello,

females of Eutolmus rufibarbis have a completely different ovipositor und dark / black legs. The depicted specimen has very light coloured front and mid femora. It's also quite difficult to see, whether the ovipositor is compressed in horizontal or in vertical way. Do you have images of this specimen in other views (front, more lateral etc?).

Greetings, Danny Wolff

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
