Hi I think that is a conopid fly, probably Sicus ferrugineus Philippe |

Thanks very much, I was completely wrong with my id, it was after looking at a load of Nomada flava images and the colours looked the same but other parts are completely different! |

Have changed title of message as requested. I don't have a specimen but it was photographed in my parents garden so there is a slight chance it might be found again. |
