 I determined this tachinid to Smidtia amoena, based on these photos, but I'am not at all sure after all. The median vein makes a very obvious bend.

 Wrong subfamily, Gunnar.

It is the male of Panzeria (Ernestia) rudis.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
