Good afternoon,

here is a picture of a fly from April 2022. I suspect it's Calliphora vicina ♂, but would like confirmation or correction.

Habitat sandy dry grassland in southwest Germany.

Calliphora vicina has reddish 'cheeks', dark grey thorax and blue abdomen. You should be able to find some if you keep looking. There are a lot about, even in winter.
