Hello, Here is another tachinid from the Island of Usedom, sitting on Tripleurospermum maritimum (Asteraceae) in last August. Its body colour is a quite homogeneous grey. Thanks for ID! Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [159.33Kb] |

It looks like Solieria to me, but I could be wrong.

It does, however, the vertex is too narrow. It's Dinera grisescens, which indeed gives a Solieria-like first impression. Arista is plumose, but impossible to see in these pics. Theo |
