2022-06-23 @ 11:26 next to industrial buildings, in fairly thick undergrowth, beneath tall trees.
Flensburg N. Germany @ 54.762378N 9.420568E. Elev +/- 50m.

Moin Ray, I think it's a Tachinida - probably a (teneral?) Macquartia.

Yes, it is a teneral male Macquartia. Can't say more.

In this case it's the swollen frons: Tachinidae belong to the Cyclorrhapha and they escape the puparium with the ptilinum (kind of bubble expanded by haemolymph). The "bubble" shrinks but this process is not completed here.
