hi other insektforum, Last weekend I found some little spiders on heatland, on the top of a fence. likely it are Hahniidae sp. Is someone familair with these family? What kind of specie is this? Obvious are the posterior spinnerets. size: ~ 5-6mm place: Miggelenberg - Veluwe (centre of Holland), place with sand and heath. Robert Heemskerk attached the following image: [160.74Kb] |

if the spinnerets are in the same plane, hence we have hahniidae spider. but general habitus points to the Hahniidae. |

I would guess Hahnia sp from the general look of it, but I have seen only a couple of species of this genus, and those in alcohol (which tends to alter the colour somewhat). |
