Observed in late March in east China (Zhejiang province), body length estimated 7mm. Legs appear to be subglabrous (not sure if due to shooting angle), antennae orange colored. A genus in Anthomyiidae? Thanks!

An acalyptrate fly. A few families, including Lauxaniidae and Sciomyzidae, have the combination of complete subcosta, no subcostal break, and two strong pairs of reclinate fronto-orbitals. From this angle the antennae appear more consistent with Sciomyzidae. |

Perhaps, near Pherbellia sp.? Looks similar to Pherbllia ditoma here: http://www.ha.sho...index.html
