It attacks the humans like me at dusk in Kourou (French Guiana) It is a rather big one (5 mm), rather dark. Could it be a Mansonia sp. ? Edited by Bernard Perthuis on 12-08-2022 21:42 |

I think you are correct, although there are not many of the typical broad scales of Mansonia visible on the wing, and most of the diagnostic characters are difficult or impossible to see in the photos.
