Hi,
Once again I tried the Tachinid interactive key http://www.tachin...chweb.aspx (a great tool indeed!) to identify a fly, seen on 31st July in a wood in southwestern Germany. This time I arrived at Nemoraea, and found N. pellucida being the only European species. If my ID is correct, it must be a female according to colour.
Here are some pics.

This photo is severely overexposed but shows chaetotaxy more clearly.

Given that Nemoraea lives in that wood, this might be the male, seen about 250 m away from the female’s spot on 7th August.
I would greatly appreciate any comments on my flies!
Many thanks, Sundew

Yes, this is Nemoraea, the species is sexually dimorph in colouration.
