You are right about Trichocera, but that's all it is possible to tell from the photo. Genital structures (in combination with wing venation and antennae) are used to identify species, but here we don't even see whether it is male or female... A. |

Thanks a lot for your reply confirming the genus. I am not surprised to learn that further Iding is difficult, I could not make head or tail of the info I had managed to obtain before posting this. Moreover those little guys are very restless and quite difficult to photograph properly in the field. Thanks for your help Philippe |
