Observed last month near a stream in east China (Zhejiang province), body length approx. 5mm. Judging from the general appearance and wing venation, is Gymnopternus sp. a good candidate? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, it is impossible to separate Chinese Gymnopternus from Hercostomus without microscope.

Thank you, Igor, for sharing your opinion on the difficulty in identifying this particular genus. |
