Chloropidae, Oscinellinae: Elachiptera sibirica Loew, 1858 [= E. nigroscutellata Becker, 1911] or E. insignis (Thomson, 1869). Both species occure in China and both possess a yellow scutum (or yellow scutum with black stripes) and a mainly black scutellum. Detailed descriptions with genitalia figures on p. 87-91 in Kanmiya, K. (1983): A systematic study of the Japanese Chloropidae (Diptera). - Memoirs of the entomological Society of Washington 111: 1-370.
