Hi, I think it's a Peleteria - P. meridionalis?

There are 3 species of this genus in Turkey. Peleteria abdominalis, P. rubescens and P. iavana. After your comment, I examined these species a little. However, I was still not sure.

Yes you are right. The closest species seems to me to be P. iavana but I'm not sure. If P. meridionalis is correct, a new record for Turkey. That's why I wanted to go over the species.

P. iavana appears later in the year - you should edit the thread's title and add "Peleteria meridionalis?".

This might be iavana, it is not meridionalis , parafacial is too narrow. Pity we can't see the palp. Theo |

Diptera by Furkan Eren, on Flickr I can't examine under the microscope yet. I've added another image in case it helps. If I examine it with a microscope in the future, I will upload images again. Edited by Dipterist on 05-06-2022 18:26 Doğabilim Explorer Furkan EREN www.dogabilim.org |
