Hi Volkmar, it's a Sericomyia silentis male. Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

I would say Sericomyia silentis, though the picture is not ideal. Do you have a dorsal view? Are there some bogs or wet places around? Regards, Matej |

Thank you very much for your supports, Jürgen and Matej. @ Matej : I could only take one picture than it flew away. There are wet places around, a brook and bog. Best regards Volkmar |
