Hello!

Another bad picture of a small fly from me... :-/. Is it possible to at least determine the family of this one? Found this afternoon at a bramble bush near a wood here in Ostwestfalen/Germany. Thanks!

Could it be Tephrochlamys rufiventris or another species of that genus?
Best regards,
Jürgen

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
