Is it possible to identify genus/species of Tabanidae? Found on dry meadow in May 2022. Transcarpathion region of Ukraine.

Difficult to say. First impression is male Dasyrhamphis umbrinus.

hello Theo! in the same place I found several egg-laying on the stalks of cereals. can they be left by this species of horsefly?

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
