Would this be a Sciomyzidae?

Photographed today on the beach amidst piles of rotting vegetation left by the recent storms. Just going on instinct, it makes me think of a Sciomyzidae. Thanks, Sarah |

I cannot be certain, but maybe this is Heterocheila buccata? I am not very familiar with these kelp/beach flies, so if someone can confirm this is Heterocheilidae, then please.

A quick search for Heterocheila in connection with http://www.dipter...ad_id=9600 brought up this long-forgotten thread. I feel that this is most likely to be one of the sea-shore scathophagids - not Heterocheila.
