Found this today on a dead treetrunk. Fagus sylvatica => beech.

Austria, Vienna. 24. April 2022.

 S. hypoleuca. To my knowledge, reported from Vienna (and Austria) previously only in a 1848 paper. Can you mention the dimensions (length) of the fly?

 This supports the identification (S. hypoleuca is much larger than other European Stegana spp. with pale mesoínotum).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
