This photo was taken from long distance, hence it is rather blurred. But since the fly seems very distinctive, maybe it's possible to identify it? SE Sweden, May 7 2020.

Looks like Panzeria puparum or Bothria sp. |

It was not a small fly, comparable with the two species of Gonia we saw at that occasion.

Thank You Waldgeist for the hint about Bothria. In fact, it looks very similar to the two Bothria species ve have in Sweden. And to Phorocera obscura... |
