Hello.
Here is a male photographed on a window.
I tried to use a key but it's very difficult for me and I can't even get it.

Voici un mâle photographié sur une fenêtre.
J'ai bien tenté d'utiliser une clé mais c'est très difficile pour moi et je n'arrive même pas au genre.

Hello.
With the Handbooks for the identification of british insects (Dolichopodidae) p 20:
items 31 then 32 (unfortunately, I don't have a better view of the wing).
With in addition a long and fine apico-ventral tang at the tibia 1 wouldn't it be Dolichopus griseipennis?

Dolichopus signifer also has that hair.
