Hi, it looks more like a Melinda to me: black palps, metallic blue, white calypters, frons smaller than one eye: M. cf. viridicyanea.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner

I have tried to key this with: Test key Steven Falk 2016
And think it is clearly a M. viridicyanea
ref: https://www.diptera-in-beeld.nl/key%20(draft)%20to%20British%20Blowflies%20Steven%20Falk%20132016.pdf

Norwegian species:
Melinda gentilis
Melinda viridicyanea

Keying (excluding M.gentilis):
absent Presutural intra-alar bristles (check picture)
Palp black, abdomen longer than the with.
result: Melinda viridicyanea

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
