This fly was in my garden (Koudekerke, Walcheren, Netherlands) on the 1st of June 2007. It looks like a female and I think I saw a male too. Could anyone help me with its name?

It is a female Tropidia scita (Syrphidae).

Thanks, I didn't recognize it in this pose. The fly is very common in my garden.
