This 6-7mm long (with wings) fly landed the leaf of a small elderberry plant (sambucus sp.) when I was standing in front of it. It then walked around the top of the leaf and as I tried to photograph slowly walked underneath the leaf then onto an adjacent leaf. It was in a sunlit patch on a very shady dirt road lined with mixed mature trees.
