Today I found this small hoverfly in the garden sitting on the blossom of common ragwort, Can somebody tell me, which species this is?
Data: Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia , D-59821 Arnsberg, 8.19.2021.

no, only the genus: Sphaerophoria. Females are virtually undeterminable, although S. scripta is by far the most frequent species.
