Hello,

today I found this tiny fly on the trunk of a fallen aspen in Germany, Saxony. Female Lonchaea? Is species ID possible?

Hi Marion - yes a female Lonchaea - but I am afraid its very difficult to get these to species level from photographs ... Iain
