Hi,
Last night (in Israel) I found this Noctuidae, looks like Plusiinae sp. in the morning I notice of Peribaea orbata (Tachinidae) at the same location which known to be parasite on Spodoptera litura which is also belong to Noctuidae family. It is possible this Tachinid has another host?

Can anyone identify the Noctuidae in the photo?

Thanks.

Perhaps Amphipyrinae would be a better match. Somewhere nearMesapamea?

It is a long time since I have messed with Lepidoptera, so I could be totally wrong...

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
