 Thank you, Eric! I'm adding a few more pictures. Please let me know if it helps. Btw Choerades femorata was found in our backyard in 2020 (identification on Diptera.Info)

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
