Hi, I am still searching for a Brachicoma, and yesterday I saw this fly that looked rather good - at least the arista is not hairy, which points to Paramacronychiinae. The key by Whitmore et al. (2020) contains only Brachicoma devia, but in Germany there is also B. papei, and I don't know how to discriminate between the two. I show you some pictures, but are they identifiable? Sarcs are so tricky... The locality was southwestern Germany (50 km west of Stuttgart), the fly was sitting on a hedgerow.
