Ephydridae is as far as I get. It doesn't match any of the North European genera (no surprise here) and my experience outside my home turf is very lacking Sad

I'm fairly sure these are Brachydeutera. (Lovely shots - lovely flies! Grin)
Ding Yang may be able to suggest a species - I can give you his contact details if you want.
