Really curious where to put this specimen. Mid June at light trap near a pond, Vienna.

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Hi John,
I am now pretty sure that it is a Dixella. It was a pond, and Dixa should occur at streams. I fear with external morphology I won't reach species ID. Anyways, here are some more photos

The first flagellomere appears cylindrical (not slightly swollen) so it should be Dixella.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
