Good evening , I assume that it is a tachinid fly. However, I have not made any progress in my search so far. Maybe someone can identify this fly. Found on May, 24 2021, sandy dry grassland in a pine forest near Mainz, Germany. Body length approx. 7 mm. Many thanks for the help. Bembix attached the following image:  [137.93Kb] |
