Hi,
this Psychodidae is perhaps a Philosepedon sp. on the basis of wing veins. When we look the right wing veins, it appears that the fork elevation is not the same for the two forks, whereas in Pneumia the fork elevations are approximately the same. The wing veins aspect is it sufficient or not to characterize the the Philosepedon genus ? Thanks for your response. Regards, Jean-Michel Garel.

Yes Philosepdon for sure. It could be P.humeralis, but this could turn out to be a species complex.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
